Please see the job description below: Position Title: Technical Writer The Technical Writer will join the Marketing Communications team of the Water Analysis Instruments group. This position requires a person skilled in editing, writing & layout using our corporate standards of technical documents including user guides & quick start guides. This candidate will also be the primary liaison w/ outside translation services to provide multi language versions to our world wide customer base. The candidate should also have experience working in a manufacturing setting w/in cross functional teams. Key Duties & Responsibilities: •Editing, writing & layout of instruction manuals & quick start guides. •Supporting sales/marketing in the creation of informational literature & catalogs. •Working w/ R&D & Marketing staff to create application & technical notes. •Key contact w/ translation services vendor. •Work w/ design team to create final files & documents for print. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: •Minimum Associates degree, Bachelor’s degree preferred. •2yrs+ of experience. •Proven ability to distill technical information into concise instruction materials including user guides & quick start guides. •Experience in both MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & MAC based software including Indesign, Quark, Pagemaker & Illustrator & Adobe Acrobat. •Strong work ethic. •Organizational skills. •No travel required. •Proven ability to distill technical information into concise instruction materials including user guides & quick start guides. •Experience in both MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & MAC based software including Indesign, Quark, Pagemaker & Illustrator & Adobe Acrobat.
